Hillside boasts all the amenities you'd expect from a home away from home. As you enter through the cottage stable door, the lounge to your right has a supersized armchair and comfy L-shaped sofa overlooked by a period fireplace. The Freesat TV features scores of channels.

A huge inglenook fireplace dominates the dining room to the left.  On those chilly nights, light up the log burner, as you gather the family for supper around the six seater dining table. Alternatively sit in the window seat, switch on the Sonos speakers, and let your gaze drift towards the historic harbour.

A large Smeg range cooker caters for your most demanding culinary treats. The spacious kitchen has loads of prep space and is well equipped with all mod cons, including a dishwasher, large fridge/freezer and washing machine. Across the hall is the downstairs shower and loo. Then it's up the steep stone steps outside to the sheltered garden patio with table and chairs.

The central staircase inside takes you to three good sized bedrooms.  There's a superking size bed to your right in the master bedroom and to your left a king size bed and washbasin in the double bedroom.  Both are large rooms and feature built in storage cupboards and delightful period window seats set in the thick cob walls. The third bedroom is equally large and accommodates two single beds and a washbasin. It overlooks the patio.  A huge clawfoot cast iron-style bath is the centrepiece of the all-white upstairs bathroom suite.

Stripped pine floorboards complement the period features throughout. Cornish Clome ovens -- sadly no longer working -- give a glimpse into the cottage's history. And as the sun goes down, the Georgian window shutters provide that extra bit of privacy.

Cornwall can be a long journey for many of our guests. But they return year after year, because they love the Cottage's comfort set amid some of Britain's most stunning scenery. We look forward to welcoming you soon!
